Virtual Film Premiere: Back from the Yalu

Director of the Virginia War Memorial, Dr. Clay Mountcastle, will give introductory remarks online at 7:00 p.m. followed by a screening of the new documentary.

This film is the final piece in a trilogy of Foundation documentaries on the Korean War. Back from the Yalu shares Virginia veteran accounts in the Korean War after the Chinese entered the war effort.

The two companion films in our collection include Hillfights, which focuses on the back-and-forth fighting in mountainous region of the Peninsula, and Inchon Landing, Pusan Breakout, which covers the logistics and veteran recollections of one of the pivotal battles in the Korean War.
