Become A Volunteer
Our Volunteer Program is the driving force behind the guest experience here at the Virginia War Memorial. Without help from these steadfast supporters, we would not be able to efficiently function or provide students and visitors with the memorable experience for which we are prominent. As a volunteer, you will help share stories from history with visitors, and make sure the experiences of our Virginia’s heroes will never be forgotten.
Duties include providing guided tours to visitors and school groups, stocking brochure racks and answering phones. A minimum of 3 hours per month is required.

Volunteer Duties Include:
- Welcoming Guests
- Conducting Tours
- Operating Educational Films
- Assisting in the Memorial Gift Shop
- Assisting with Virginia Veteran Research
- Answering the phones and transferring calls
- Assisting with on-site events, as available.
