Buy A Brick

The Walkway of Honor circles around the Shrine of Memory and overlooks the James River. It serves as a solemn place where visitors can come for a moment of respite and reflection and recognize any person, veteran, business, or supporter who they want to see on the Walkway and at the Memorial. The Walkway is truly special, as it is a unique “community monument,” constantly growing with the help of supporters who want to honor and remember those important to them.

This holiday season, honor a loved one on the walkway of honor

From Veterans Day through the end of the year, the Virginia War Memorial Foundation is proud to offer a discount on standard-size Walkway of Honor bricks. 4″ x 8″ bricks, usually $250 each, will now be offered at $150 each for this short time.

THE WALKWAY OF HONOR: SOUTHSIDE INITIATIVE

The Southside of Virginia completed a Walkway of Honor Fundraising Initiative in the Spring of 2021. The work, led by Joyce Ellen French and Ted Daniel, was intended to raise awareness of the Memorial in that part of Virginia, and raise awareness of those Virginians’ contributions in military service to our nation. Here is the ceremony recognizing this initiative and its contributions.

Thank you for supporting the Virginia War Memorial.
