This Day in History: 1964-12-28
After 24 days of grueling attacks, the South Vietnamese take back the city of Binh Gia. The continuous fighting finally ended in mid-January, but the losses were heavy. Around 200 South Vietnamese soldiers were killed along with 5 American advisors. The battle was a testament to the world that the South Vietnamese would need help from the U. S. if they wanted to win the war.
