Tuskegee Airmen Commemoration Day
In celebration of Tuskegee Airmen Commemoration Day, join us for this in-person presentation of the service and valor of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II.
In partnership with the Howard Baugh Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. (HBC-TAI), in Petersburg, VA, we will discuss preserving the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and highlight their struggle for Civil Rights through military service. Other famous African-American World War II units that will be highlighted include: the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the 333rd Field Artillery Battalion, the 761st Tank Battalion, the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion and the 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion, among others.
Light refreshments will be served beginning at 5:30 pm and the program will begin at 6:00 pm.
Admittance and parking, as always, are free.
