Each year, on March 13, Virginia and the nation commemorate the service of American military and working dogs.
Join us as we begin our multi-day commemoration of K-9 Veterans Day with an interview of Vietnam veteran and former dog handler Robert Mays.
May is the driving force behind the creation of a plaque at the VWM to honor canines who have served.
This event is FREE but registration is required.
Also, join us in-person on Monday, March 14 at 4:00 pm as we host the Commonwealth’s K-9 Veterans Day Ceremony in our E. Bruce Heilman Amphitheater.
