INDOORS: Commonwealth’s 67th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony

**Due to the weather, this year’s Memorial Day Ceremony has been moved indoors. The event will still take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 29, but seating will be extremely limited.**

If you prefer to watch from home, the ceremony will be broadcast on TV on WTVR-TV  CBS 6, 6.1 & 6.3 in Richmond.

We will also be live-streaming the broadcast here on this page, and on the Memorial Facebook Page.

VIEW ONLINE

The laying of memorial wreaths will take place in the Shrine of Memory immediately following the ceremony.

The Memorial Day Concert by the Richmond Cadet Alumni Band and Friends will still be at 2:00pm but will now take place indoors in Veterans Hall.

Wherever you may be, we hope you will join us to remember and honor those who died while serving in the United States armed forces.

PARKING:

Parking is available on-site in the Memorial Garage.

WREATH-LAYING: 

If you or your organization would like to lay a wreath in the Shrine of Memory at the conclusion of the ceremony, you must register your wreath before or on Monday morning. There will be an outdoor tent with VWM staffers available to help you register your wreath.

SPEND THE AFTERNOON WITH US:

After the official Memorial Day Ceremony for the Commonwealth of Virginia, we invite you to stay on-site for a concert by the Richmond Cadet Alumni Band and Friends. The concert begins at 2:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs to enjoy patriotic music with the Shrine of Memory and Richmond skyline as the backdrop.
