Caring for your Collections: What’s Bugging your Artifacts?

What bugs do you need to worry about when caring for your home collections? What bugs are safe? How can you tell the difference?

During this program, Virginia War Memorial Curator Jesse Smith will review four of the most common insects that are found in homes and museums, how to identify them and what they eat, what to do if you find them, and how to keep them from harming your artifacts.

This talk will also show one insect that, though it may look scary, is actually a miniature exterminator.

Jesse will also share a short tutorial on how to build a silverfish trap.
