Storytime at the Memorial: Celebrating Veterans – November 22, 2025

NEW THIS FALL!
Storytime at the Memorial is now happening one weekday and one Saturday each month. Join us Saturday, November 22 at the Virginia War Memorial for free, educator-led readings of children’s history books and fun craft activities. Families are welcome—recommended for kids ages 4 to 10.

This Month’s Featured Book: Pepper’s Purple Heart: A Veterans Day Story by Heather French Henry

Craft Activity: Color and press your own Purple Heart buttons with our button machine. Color and sign Thank You and Holiday cards for Veterans. 

Special Saturday Bonus: Meet Ember, the Virginia War Memorial’s Official Storytime Canine Ambassador – a certified  K-9 Caring Angel Therapy Dog!
