Sergeant First Class Allen served with the 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was killed on Hill 902 in North Korea. Before the war, he was employed by DuPont. He is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia.

1LT Alley served with A Troop, 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry, 4th Infantry Division. He is a 1963 graduate of John Marshall High School. He is buried in Riverview Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.

Served in Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 553rd Corps Support Battalion. Graduated from VMI in 2001. Also received the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service medal.

Served with the 4th Special Operations Squadron, 14th Special Operations Wing. His AC-47D (43-49021) was hit in the starboard wing by ground fire and crashed.

Specialist 4 Alley served with Company D, 3rd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. Prior to entering the service he was employed by W. M. Bassett Furniture Company for four years. He is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Martinsville, Virginia.

Staff Sergeant Allman served with the 5th Air Force, 71st Tactical Reconnaissance Group, 17th Tactical Recon Squadron as an Engineer on B25D “Montana Maid” #42-87296. He is buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

Completed 3 years of high school, then worked in a boot and shoe manufacturing plant. He was inducted in Roanoke, VA on Sept 14, 1942. Stationed at Camp Lee in Petersburg, VA, Fort Sam Houston, Texas and Camp McCoy in Wisconsin.

brother of Harris Napoleon Almond; He attended Appomattox High School and moved to Richmond and worked for Dupont. He married Alice Bartlett of Richmond, VA on October 29, 1941. They had a daughter Barbara Elaine Almond.

Private First Class Almond enlisted in the Marine Corps in August, 1943, and trained at New River, N. C. and Parris Island, S. C. He is buried in Hampton National Cemetery, Hampton, Virginia. Before the war, he was employed by the Maryland Dry Dock Company.
