Private First Class Cook served with the 350th Infantry Regiment, 88th Infantry Division. He was shot in the head by a sniper and died two days later. Before the war, he was employed by DuPont.

Corporal Cook served with the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division.

PFC Cooke served as an Infantryman with C Company, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. He died during Operation Nathan Hale in the vicinity of Trung Luong, 8 kilometers east of Dong Tre Airfield in Phu Yen Province. He is buried at Knollkreg Memorial Park, Abingdon, Virginia.

Second Lieutenant Cooke served with the 429th Fighter Squadron, 474th Fighter Group, 70th Fighter Wing, 9th Air Force. He deployed to Europe in August 1944. He is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Belgium.

Private First Class Cooke served with A Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry, 11th Infantry BDE, Americal Division. He is buried in Hampton National Cemetery, Hampton, Virginia.
