Storytime at the Memorial

Experience educator-led readings of children’s history books and themed craft activities at Storytime at the Memorial. The program takes place on select Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. in Russell Scott Hall at the Memorial.

Storytime programs are free and open to children and families.

The age range for participants is 4 to 10 years old.

September 2026: Patriot Day

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, join us for Storytime at the Memorial: Patriot Day with the featured book “Unfurling the Freedom Flag” by Tara Riley Krohn.
Children will color their own Freedom Flags and make patriotic crafts. Meet Storytime’s special guests from the Freedom Flag Foundation. Learn about the 10 elements of the Freedom Flag, the story of its creation, and how many people are flying it today.
