Homeschool Day 2026

The Virginia War Memorial offers homeschool students of all ages the opportunity to enjoy the exhibits and resources of the Memorial during a FREE program each Spring. Our Homeschool Days present a variety of hands-on activities, crafts, and games pertaining to war in the 20th century, and include tours of the Memorial and the Shrine of Memory.
The Spring 2025 Homeschool Day date will be Monday, May 4, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Bring your lunch and enjoy a day of learning and fun.
The VWM Homeschool Day is FREE. Registration is required for all attendees (all ages) and closes three days before the program.
Activities of the day include:
- WORLD WAR II ARTIFACTS DISPLAY
- THE WE ARE MARINES COLLECTION UNIFORMS DISPLAY
- STORYTIME FEATURING AMERICA’S FLAG STORY BY KAREN S. ROBBINS AND PATRIOTIC CRAFTS
- SCAVENGER HUNTS
- TOURS OF THE MUSEUM GALLERIES AND SHRINES
