SPECIALIST 4 RANDY HARRITAN, U.S. ARMY
Randy was born and raised in Wilmington, N.C. He entered the U.S. Army in 1968 and turned 23 in Vietnam. He hails from a long family tradition of armed service: his father fought in World War II, his maternal grandfather in World War I, and two great-great-grandfathers saw action in the Civil War. Upon returning home from the war, Randy started a mechanical contracting firm, from which he retired in 2001. His family includes four children and seven beloved grandchildren.
