Private Shaw served with the 2036th Quartermaster Truck Company. Sadly, just a few days before his death, his mother had received her Christmas gift from him. He is buried in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth, Virginia. Before the war, he attended Mt. Hermon School and Our Lady of Victory Catholic School.
