Staff Sergeant Moody served with the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Georgia. He was killed when his unit was attacked by insurgents.
He was a 1994 graduate of Meadowbrook High School and enlisted in the Army in 1997.
He is buried in Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Dinwiddie, Virginia.
