Marion Hugh Mawyer

Private First Class Mawyer served with Company K, 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division.

PFC Mawyer attended Red Hill High School and enlisted in the Monticello Guard in 1940. He was deployed to England for 21 months before being  wounded and succumbing to his injuries.

His body was repatriated to the United States in April 1948 and he is buried in Rock Spring Cemetery, Nelson County, Virginia.
